Jocelyn Benson is the Secretary of State for Michigan. She was smack dab in the middle of Trump’s attempts to overturn the 2020 election. She received constant death threats and Trumpers protested in front of her home. She needed security because she feared for herself and her family.
She is now stating that Trump White House insiders have told her that, at one meeting, Trump stated that Benson should be arrested for treason and possibly executed. The then President of the United States was calling for her arrest and possible execution! Is this Russia? No. This is supposed to be the democratic bastion of the free world.
Benson was asked why she is making this statement now. She explained that the mid terms are coming up. The level of death threats, from Trumpers against election officials, are increasing. She wants the country to be aware of this. Democracy is under threat. No two ways about it.
