Betsy DeVos was Trump’s secretary of Education for four years. She has a new book coming out. A number of Trump staffers have done the same. Most of these books have been pretty negative as to Trump and his four years as President. DeVos is very right wing. The left despised her.
In her upcoming book, DeVos writes that in watching the events of January 6 unfold, she felt that Trump was culpable and she was shocked at his inaction that day. She believed that Trump had crossed a line. The next day she engaged in conversations with other Cabinet members about invoking the 25th Amendment. Imagine the magnitude of this. Cabinet members were actually discussing the possibilty of forcing the President of the United States out of office. She brought up the idea to Mike Pence. Pence told her that he would not take that direction. DeVos, following her discussions, with Pence, resigned that very day.
