Early start to the weekend. Woke up at two. Two in the morning. Saturday morning. Pub night cancelled Friday because it was too freaking cold. As I chirp this, it is 35 below. Does not matter if that is in Fahrenheit or Centigrade, it is freaking cold.
A great weekend to stay indoors. The Oilers play late this afternoon and are going for a record breaking tenth win in a row. The Oilers have never won ten in a row. Just two months ago they had lost to the last place Sharks to fall to two wins in 12 games. Doom and gloom. They now have won 17 of their last 20 and Stanley Cup visions are again dancing in every Oilers fan’s imaginations.
This is also NFL wildcard playoff weekend. For the first time in 30 years, the Detroit Lions are playing a playoff home game. Watching NFL playoffs with the Lions in it. This is too good a weekend to chirp about depressing political events.
