The funeral for Alexei Navalny was held a couple of days ago. The funeral was held following a two week struggle by the family just to have his body released. Navalny died in prison. His crime was that he opposed Putin. Navalny is just one of many Putin opponents who have died mysteriously in the past few years. If you are a Putin opponent you stay away from windows. The only reason that Navalny did not die from falling out a window was that prison windows have bars.
A number of mourners showed up at Navalny’s funeral despite running the risk of being arrested, simply for paying last respects. Russians are well aware that if they protest against the murder of an opponent to Putin or against the invasion of a European country they will be jailed and possibly killed. Navalny’s wife and kids were not at the funeral, or even in Russia, because they would have been arrested

This is the guy who Trump trusted more than he did his own intelligence agencies. This is the guy who has meddled in past US elections and is doing so even now. This is the guy who Trump and his Republican sheep are just letting him have his way
Putin’s best buddy wants to be President, again. What is happening in Russia could very well happen in the US. Do not fall for the ‘it can’t happen here’ routine. It can. Americans have to ask themselves ‘is this what we want’. What scares me I think many Americans do.
