This is Elise Stefanik. She is a Republican Congresswoman from the State of New York. She is the fourth highest Republican in the House, serving as the Chair of the House Republican Committee. She took that position from Liz Cheney. Cheney was voted out of this position for having the gall to stand up to Donald Trump.
Stefanik came in as a Republican moderate. She has since drank the MAGA kool-aid and is hoping to be Trump’s VP choice. A couple of days ago, she asked voters the following question.
“Are you better off today than you were four years ago?”
Hmmmm. Let’s see. March 2020. I remember that we were heading home early from our Winter home in Arizona. That we ate all our meals on the road in our rooms. That we were wiping gas nozzles with wipes. That we avoided gatherings, isolating ourselves from friends and family. I remember sports leagues shutting down. i remember business closing down. I remember millions losing jobs. I remember people dying. I remember Trump telling people to keep working. I remember Trump suggesting people injecting bleach. Oh and there was COVID.
That has got to be one of the dumbest questions ever asked by a politician
