Bye Bye Boebert

The queen of cringe Lauren Boebert. She narrowly one her Colorado 3rd district election back in 2022. Ken Buck, Republican Congrssman in the more conservative 4th district of Colorado announced, last year, that he would be resigning at the end of the current term. Boebert, knowing she would a tough re-election race in her current district, hand jobs at a Beetlejuice family showing will cause that, planned to parachute to what she saw was a move favourable 4th district environment. That was the plan anyways.

Well, Ken Buck, who is not too fond of Boebert, threw a wrench into Boebert’s plans. Buck is resigning next week. That means a Special Election will be held on June 25 to fill his seat for the rest of the current term. That means, for Republicans, they lose another seat in their already slim House majority.

Now what does Boebert do. The Republican primary in her 3rd district will be held on the same day as the Special Election in the 4th district. Does she resign her 3rd district seat now to declare her candidacy for the 4th district Special Election? This would mean another lost Republican seat in Congress. Or does she stay in the 3rd district for now and potentially face the winner of the Special Election (sure to be a Republican) in a subsequent primary later this Summer.

In either case, Lauren is likely screwed. Meanwhile, Ken Buck, who is fed up with the antics of his Republican colleagues has screwed both Boebert (don’t go there) and the Republicans, as well.
