Trump is finding himself sinking deeper into his own mess. He said the following on his failing Truth Social on Monday.
“We cannot let our Country suffer any further damage by losing Elections on an issue that should always have been decided by the States, and now will be! By allowing the states to make their decision … we have taken the Abortion Issue largely out of play,”
Trump has boasted about how he was President responsible for overturning Roe vs Wade. Now, whether he wants it or not, Trump is owning it.
Republicans are already facing stormy weather with strict abortion bans in a number of states. The weather worsened with Florida’s 6 week abortion limit. It just got a whole lot worse with the Arizona Supreme Court ruling that a civil war abortion statute be implemented restricting abortions only to incidences where the mother’s life is in danger. As Kamala Harris put it,
“Arizona just rolled back the clock to a time before women could vote – and, by his own admission, there’s one person responsible: Donald Trump.”
Trump is getting attacks on all sides. His former VP, Mike Pence is attacking Trump for retreating on the issues Trump’s BFF (best friend forever for us older folks) Lindsay Graham, as well as other loyal Republicans have criticized Trump in his stance with Trump reacting angrily. With regard to Graham, Trump said that Graham was,
“doing a great disservice to the Republican Party, and to our country.”
Democrats are already proclaiming the November election to be Roevember. This is not going away. It is like on time for Trump.
