This is Kristi Noem. She is the Governor of South Dakota. She has been identified as being a candidate for Donald Trump‘s running mate.
She has an upcoming book called ‘No Going Back’. In the book, she’s describes taking her 14 month old puppy called Cricket to a gravel pit and shooting the puppy. Then she went back and got a baby goat and took the baby goat to the same gravel pit and shooting the goat requiring two shots.
In the book, she explains why she shot the puppy.
“The fact is, South Dakota law states that dogs who attack and kill livestock can be put down. Given that Cricket had shown aggressive behavior toward people by biting them, I decided what I did. Whether running the ranch or in politics, I have never passed on my responsibilities to anyone else to handle. Even if it’s hard and painful. I followed the law and was being a responsible parent, dog owner, and neighbor.”
She wanted to show how tough a woman she was by gunning down her 15 month old puppy. it is not turning out the way she expected it to be. She is getting destroyed in social media and deservedly so
Just remember, she is the face or one of the faces of the Republican party. Should anyone be surprised?
