Former Trump staffer and current Newsmax host, Cory Lewandowski, was interviewing Donald Trump yesterday, on Newsmax. Newsmax is even further to the right than Fox entertainment. Newsmax has been rigourous in their denial of the 2020 election results.
If you look at the image above, you will note the chyron that was running while Trump was being interviewed. It indicates that Newsmax accepted the 2020 election results. Newsmax is facing two lawsuit trials, later this year. The first trial is Smartmatic, in September, and Dominion, in December. Now Fox already settled out of court, with Dominion, for nearly $1 billion. With the chyron, that Newsmax ran yesterday while Trump was being interviewed, anticipate an out of court settlement by Newsmax with both Smartmatic and Dominion. They pretty well know they already lost. They are probably now hoping that running the chyron will soften the damages that will be assessed against them.
The Trump supporters watching this interview on Newsmax might be going through cognitive dissonance right about now. Their beloved network is admitting that their beloved leader lost the 2020 election. How are they going to handle that? Their brains must be exploding right about now. But in all likelihood, they will take a nudge nudge, wink wink approach and keep on believing that Trump won in 2020.
This is a crazy time that we are all living in.
