Last week was a pretty depressing week for anyone following American politics. There was a lot of anticipation leading up to the debate between Trump and Biden. Then, Biden crashed and burned. Trump has been gloating about the debate ever since. While many in the Democrat party are considering replacing Biden with someone else. The worst nightmares are coming through. It seems. Many people, including myself, have stopped watching cable news. we cannot stand to hear Trump’s voice. We cannot stand to see his face. Many of us think that he might actually win in November. If that happens, there is a strong belief that democracy in the states is over. It’s like watching a train wreck and honestly is.
Buden has been coming back with fiery speeches after the debate. However, a lot more people saw the debate than clips of his speeches after the debate.
if there is any ray of sunshine, it is the fact that the election is still four months away. A lot of things can still happen within that time period. To bring a sports analogy in, the Edmonton Oilers were dead last in the NHL after 14 games. They ended up within one game of winning it all. Joe Biden has been left for dead before. People were ready to write him off in the 2020 primaries. He ended up being President. that being said, I think I will avoid cable news for the next little while anyway. Have a nice Sunday.
