My parents, who went through Nazism and Stalinism, as well as this guy, Ronald Reagan, who called Russia the evil empire are rolling over in their graves right now. I have had a number of WTF moments in my life, but this one has got to top the list and that even includes 911.
The world changed on Friday. The axis has shifted. Putin is now America’s friend. When Trump and Vance ambushed Zelensky, they were parroting Putin’s words. The most extreme example was Trump saying that Zelensky was risking World War three. Right out of Putin‘s mouth.
The shock waves are still reverberating around the world. Western leaders are meeting in London today to formulate a plan as to how to continue support of Ukraine. The US has become isolated. It will become more isolated this week once they launch tariffs and they will launch tariffs. What was a nightmare scenario might become fat. That being that the US will leave NATO. Another conversation I’m sure that will be bubbling up soon, kicking the US out of the G7. The next G7 meeting will be held in Alberta this summer. That is not going to go over well at all.
One could say that this could be the beginning of the end of the American empire. All empires fall.
In Canada, a stunning side effect is that the liberals now have the lead in the race to win the next federal government. Will address that in a separate chirp this week depending on what other WTF moments come up.
One more thing. People will start hearing the word Krasnov a whole lot more this week. You might not recognize the name now, but you will. Trust me.
