During the 2008 election campaign,John McCain, mimicked a Beach Boys song by going ‘ bomb bomb bomb bomb bomb Iran’. He paid for it with the criticism he received. During Donald Trump’s election campaign, last year, he said that if Kamala Harris was president, she would get the US into a war with Iran in six months. Trump with his bombing run last night did it in five months.
Depending if a country is pro Israel or anti-Israel, world leader reactions have covered the entire spectrum from praise to condemnation. Iran, of course, has vowed revenge. Members from both sides of the political school spectrum, in the US, have condemned the bombing. Some Democrats are calling for impeachment, which is just not gonna happen.
So what happens now? Is Iran’s nuclear capability completely gone? No one knows, yet. Iran is much weaker now than it was before Hamas attacked Israel on October 7. Israel, in the last year and a half, have weakened Iran‘s proxies, those being Hamas and Hezbollah. Iran’s missile capabilities are also severely weakened given that they’ve used a lot of of them on Israel the past couple of weeks. Iran’s ally, Russia, has its own problems with Ukraine. Putin will not enter this fray. In fact, Ukraine will probably benefit from what has happened in the past couple weeks because Iran will most likely not send any more drones or other weapons to Russia. Furthermore, there is internal discontent within Iran. The population had a taste of freedom before 1979. Many want it again.
Then again, World War three could happen
We will see what happens next. One thing I do know, I would not want to be on any US military bases in the region right now.
That is all I have for today.
