All Gone

From CNN website

According to Goldman Sachs, undocumented immigrants account for 4 to 5% of the US labour workforce. They account for 15% of industries such as crop production, food processing, and construction.

These industries are being hurt by the ICE raids. What this is doing is causing people not to show up to work for fear of being deported. This is or soon will be resulting in supply shortages, production, delays, and raising prices.

The Trump administration realize they’re in a bit of a catch 22 situation. They promised their base that all undocumented immigrants will be deported, regardless. The MAGA base want no exceptions. The last thing the Trump administration wants to do is to start making exceptions. But if they don’t, then the consequences as described above, will or are already occurring. But Trump has a handle on this based on the following quote.

“We’re working on it right now. We have a lot of cases where ICE would go into a farm and these are guys that have been there 10 or 15 years, and the farmers know them – it’s called farmer responsibility. Or owner responsibility. But they’re going to be largely responsible for these people. And they know these people. They’ve worked at the farms for 15 years.”

Say what. If I get a translation of what he said, I’ll post it on my next chirp. Gibberish.

That’s all I have for today.
