Liberation Flop

Anyone old enough will remember the movie Groundhog Day starring Bill Murray. Bill Murray woke up every day to the same day going through the same things until he’s got things right and then moved onto the next day.

TACO Trump is doing the same thing to us and it is getting absolutely freaking boring. Ever since his so-called liberation day where he announced tariffs on a number of countries, including an island of penguins, he has been threatening tariffs, pulling back, threatening tariffs, pulling back over and over again.

When he first started the lunacy, the stock markets went into a wild spin. Now hardly a ripple. Wall Street came up with a nickname TACO (Trump Always Chickens Out), for Trump for always threatening and then backing down. He is threatening a new round of tariffs for August 1 now, including an increase of tariffs for Canada, again.

Trump when he started this craziness said that he would have tariff agreements with 200 countries by the end of June. He has a framework agreement with the UK and that’s about it. He is acting like a little child who doesn’t get his way. He honestly is. He said that this would bring manufacturing jobs to the US. So far the level of manufacturing jobs has gone down in the US.

He keeps threatening like the five-year-old bully he is. Sooner or later, and it will happen, it will bite him and his country in the behind. It can’t happen soon enough.

That’s all I can handle for today.
