Irony

Stephen Colbert, a harsh critic of Donald Trump and critical of CBS’s pay out of $16 million, to Trump, to settle a lawsuit, has his show canceled. ABC, after being sued by Trump, pays out $15 million, to Trump, to be spent on Trump’s presidential library. Jeff Bezos, he of the $50 million wedding, in Venice, and owner of the Washington Post, orders the Post to lighten up on Trump.

Vladimir Putin would be proud of how Trump is steam rolling over the free press. Who will step in to protect the freedom of the press, in the United States? Who will be the saviour to protect the integrity of US media? Would you believe Rupert Murdoch? Seriously, Rupert Murdoch?

Rupert Murdoch, had to shell out $787 million to Dominion Voting Systems, for misleading the American public during the 2020 election. Rupert Murdoch‘s Wall Street Journal published an article earlier this week about Trump’s birthday message to Jeffrey Epstein. The message included a drawing, allegedly by Trump, of a naked woman. Trump said that this message is a fabrication and sued Murdoch, so far, for $10 billion. Billion with a B.

Trump threatened to sue Murdoch if the article was printed. Murdoch went ahead and printed the article. Murdoch has to be pretty certain that the message is real and that it was sent by Trump.

if the lawsuit continues, Trump will have to be deposed, whether he likes it or not. He claims that he has never drawn pictures. It has now come out that Trump had two pictures, drawn by him and signed by him sold at a charity auction in 2004. This from a man who says he’s never drawn pictures. He claims it is not his style.

The world has turned upside down. Rupert Murdoch could actually be the saviour of the American free press.

Have a good weekend.
