Donald Trump keeps talking about the fact that he has the power to pardon Ghislaine Maxwell. Maxwell is a convicted sex trafficker. She is serving 20 years. She facilitated the rape of children. I will not call them young women. These children were in their young teens.
The Republican Party are supposedly pro life. The Republican Party supposedly want to protect children. The Republican party go after drag queens big time because of their supposed threat to children. However, this party has become very quiet about the possibility of Trump pardoning Maxwell.
Mike Johnson, Speaker of the House,
“Well, I mean, obviously that’s a decision of the president, I won’t get in front of him. That’s not my lane.”
John Thune, Senate Majority Leader,
“Well, that’s up to him.”
Senator Markwayne Mullin of Oklahoma,
“I don’t know enough about Maxwell or the conversation to even weigh in on that.”
Profiles of courage these are not. The Republican Party has turned into the Trump party. What is too far or too much for these cowards? Interesting enough it could be the Trump loyal podcasters who stand up to Trump, podcasters like Joe Rogan.
If Trump would pardon Maxwell, what would message would it send to all women, each and everyone, who have been sexually assaulted, in their lives. What message would it send to the sexual offenders?
It is times like these that I hope there’s a heaven and hell.
