Donald Trump, in response to the assassination of Charlie Kirk, has ordered that the flags be set at half mast until September 14. Trump also stated that he will be giving Kirk the presidential medal of freedom. Trump has blamed the radical left for the assassination of Kirk, even though the assassin has not been caught yet
State Democrat house, speaker of Minnesota, Melissa Hortman, along with her husband, were assassinated by a Trump supporter back a couple of months ago. Trump did not order the flags to be lowered at half mast nor will he be giving Hortman the presidential medal of freedom.
There have been 47 school shootings so far this year in the states. For the children and teachers killed in those shootings flags were not set at half mast nor were presidential medals of freedom given.
Pennsylvania State governor Josh Shapiro had his house fire bombed. Crickets.
Michigan State governor Gretchen Whitmer was the target of a kidnapping plot where she used to be tried and executed on live TV. Crickets. Both Shapiro and Whitmer are Democrats.
Barack Obama, when tragedies occurred, spoke to the nation as a whole. Donald Trump, when tragedies, such as Kirks occur, speaks to his base. He is not a uniter, he is a divider. Where Obama tried to decrease tensions, Trump adds fuel to the fire.
