Donald Trump has let it be known that he wants the Nobel peace prize. He may actually get one if this Gaza peace plan comes to fruition
It is a 20 point peace plan. A number of Muslim countries and European countries are in favour of the plan. The Muslim countries who support the plan gave the following joint statement.
“affirm their readiness to engage positively and constructively with the United States and the parties toward finalising the agreement and ensuring its implementation”.
The Palestinian authority has given their approval of the plan. Islamic Jihad, calls the plan a trick for Israel to win what they couldn’t win in the war. Hamas has yet to respond to the proposal. Hardliners, in the Israel, government, are also unhappy with the plan and are threatening to overthrow Benjamin Netanyahu’s coalition government if this process continues.
Benjamin Netanyahu, with the carrot of a peace plan, also brings along a big stick. He has said that if Hamas does not accept this plan, Benjamin Netanyahu or blaster out of existence.
If this is carried off and if a lasting peace does occur in Gaza, Trump would be a strong candidate to get the Nobel peace prize that he so much desires.
