King’s Reality

Donald Trump is finding out it’s not easy being king. Republicans and right wing media outlets have and had been mocking the no Kings rallies, both prior and subsequent to the events. It has not been working. A round of polls taken since the event is showing that Trump’s assumption of King like activities are reflecting badly on him. Over half of Americans and that includes over half of independents disapprove of the manner he is handling things

It was just a couple weeks ago that things seem to be going his way. Trump played a role in getting a cease-fire in the Middle East. That seemed to set him up nicely for accomplishing something with Ukraine. In fact, Trump had mentioned that he would be meeting Putin very soon.

However, things have fallen apart, since then, for Trump. The shutdown continues and it is the Democrats who are winning the blame game. There’s more negative reaction on Trump‘s attacks on cities, such as Chicago, Memphis and Portland. The cease-fire looks to be falling apart, with Hamas controlling the streets of Gaza and executing collaborators. Furthermore, after continued intensive bombardments of Ukraine, there no longer will be a summit between Trump and Putin.

Reality is sinking in for Donald Trump. But this does not mean that the Democrats will win the midterms next November. Trump still has a number of dirty tricks up his sleeve. So this Trump nightmare is far from over.

That’s all I have for today.
