Mark, Mr. Carney, sir, I think you broke Donnie. At the least, I think you’re really pissed him off, like bigly, like never ever seen before. You know about this new bridge that’s going over to the Detroit river between Detroit and Windsor. It will be called. the Gordie Howe Bridge, in honour of the long time, Detroit Red Wings hockey player who came from Saskatchewan. Nice symbolism.
Well, the bridge is ready to be open and Donnie is threatening not to open it. The bridge cost $6 billion to construct. Canada funded all of it. And, it will be jointly owned between Canada and Michigan.
Mark, I guess someone was talking to Donnie, probably Steven Miller and Donnie went on kind of a tweeting rampage this morning. This is kind of long, but you need to see this Mark.
“Canada is building a massive bridge between Ontario and Michigan. They own both the Canada and the United States side and, of course, built it with virtually no U.S. content. President Barack Hussein Obama stupidly gave them a waiver so they could get around the BUY AMERICAN Act, and not use any American products, including our Steel.
Don lied there because there was a lot
of US content, including material and labor.
“Now, the Canadian Government expects me, as President of the United States, to PERMIT them to just ‘take advantage of America!’ What does the United States of America get — Absolutely NOTHING!”
Now here is the really wild part given that Donnie has no authority to do this.
“I will not allow this bridge to open until the United States is fully compensated for everything we have given them, and also, importantly, Canada treats the United States with the Fairness and Respect that we deserve.”
I think Melania had a headache last night. Then again they’re probably not even the same bed or even same house, right now.
Mark, you really pissed him off with your speech in Davos and making a deal with China. You kind of pissed him off with all these other trade deals you’ve made too. He doesn’t like anyone not bending the knee to him. I’m not sure whether I should ask you to dial it down a bit or keep it going. It would be a sight to see Dotnnie‘s brain explode.
