Back in 1965, The Beach Boys released the song, ‘ Barbara Ann’. Back in 2007, during his election campaign, John McCain, at a campaign event in South Carolina mimicked the song going ‘ bomb bomb bomb Iran’. He got serious pushback on that and later claimed that he was just joking and he probably just was.
We are currently in the reality where Donald Trump is bombing Iran. It is becoming more clear, that this was the only element of his plan. The first day went well for Trump. The supreme leader of Iran was killed. A number of top officials, 48 according to Trump, were killed off in the same day. Trump, most likely assumed, that Iran would fall apart, and there would be a new regime in place in a couple of days.
We are two weeks later into this war. Thousands of Iranians dead, including 168 school children hit by an American Tomahawk missile, which Trump and Hegseth continue to deflect. 13 American service members already dead, including six who have just perished in a plane crash. The Straits of Hormuz, closed off. The Dow Jones tumbling down. Oil at over $100 a barrel. And the supreme leader replaced by his son who is even more radical.
Right now, even if Donald Trump wanted to end the war today he cannot. He won’t anyway, because it would be an admission that he screwed up
How did Hegseth react to the Strait of Hormuz being closed down? His exact words were,
Don’t worry about it”.
Donald Trump, on Fox News were calling the crews of the oil tankers, gutless, for not traversing these waters. This coming from a five time draft dodger.
Just as galling, was Trump saying yesterday, that rising oil prices was a great thing for America because it meant more revenues coming in to the oil companies. I am sure that consumers now paying four dollars per gallon at the pumps would not agree. Funny thing, Trump was not saying the same thing when Biden was in power.
Donald, you have totally f#%*ed this thing up. You have no plan. You also have no way to get out of this. You are going to get so slaughtered in the midterms in November. You also know that.
The sad thing is you not only did this to yourself, but you are doing this to your country and you are doing this to the world. . We are all paying for your screw up Donald. Thanks a freaking bunch.
