Donald Trump was in a bad mood Saturday night. The press was not being nice to him, on Iran. The war, oops I mean the excursion, was not going the way he planned. And now there were all these lineups at airports in the US. So he texted that if Iran didn’t open up the Strait of Hormuz, within 48 hours, he was gonna bomb all the power plants in Iran. Iran responded that they were gonna bomb the infrastructures of American allies in the Middle East
Come, Sunday, Dow Jones futures had tumbled and the price of oil was skyrocketing. Trump had backed himself into a corner. So on Monday, he said that there were positive negotiations with Iran, and he was going to hold back on attacking the power plants. The Dow Jones went up big time on Monday and the price of oil went down.
Trouble is, Trump is lying to try to get out of this mess. Iran said that there was no such negotiations. Iran further went on to say that this was fake news, and Trump was just trying to reassure the stock market. The Iranian embassy in South Africa posted an image of a child’s pink steering wheel on the passenger side of a car, mocking Trump.
Trump said that Iran had agreed to 15 points in the negotiations. Iran said no, again, there were no negotiations.
Trump said that Iran and the US would soon jointly manage the Strait of Hormuz. Iran said there is no way that is going to happen. Trump said that he was gonna start drawing down on this excursion. There are 4500 marines heading to the Middle East as he says this.
The stock market did have a good day on Monday. However, as I chirp this on Tuesday morning, oil prices are on the way back up, and the Dow Jones futures are down 300 points. Donald, you have accomplished nothing with your lies.
