Back in 2001, Jim Mora, then coach of the Indianapolis Colts, after the Colts had lost a brutal game, was asked about his team‘s playoff chances. He responded with a memorable quote that you need to see.
“Playoffs? Don’t talk about—playoffs?! You kidding me? Playoffs?! I just hope we can win a game! Another game!”
They did not make the playoffs that year and he got fired.
Today, for sports lovers, is the official start of both the NBA and the NHL playoffs. Well, the NBA did have play-in games, earlier this week, but that is neither here nor there.
For us Canadians, we have the Toronto Raptors to follow, we of the north, and we have three Canadian NHL team teams to follow of which one of them is my Edmonton Oilers.
So this is going to be a great weekend. Not only that, but here in Alberta, we’re actually going to have some nice spring days. Deck weather.
So it will be a nice break from what is happening in the world today, like the Strait of Hormuz again being shut down.
