Regime Change is a best seller that came out a couple of days ago and is flying off the shelves. I got it in audiobook form on Tuesday and I have already finished it.
The book covers the first year of Donald Trump’s second term presidency. The book reminded me of all the shocking things that happened in the first year, leaving me, the impression that the US and perhaps the whole world is suffering from Trump inflicted PTSD. Here is just a short list of the things we all went through in the first 14 months of his term
Guard rails gone. For cabinet position he did not choose the best. He chose the most loyal to him. Tulsi Gabbard, Democrat nut job, turned Republican chosen as the director of national intelligence. Since resigned. Trump‘s first choice for Attorney General was accused sex predator Matt Gaetz.
Laura Loomer, Trump fan girl, getting national security staff fired for the most insane reasons.
Renee Goode and Alex Pritty, both white, both American citizens, shot dead in Minneapolis during the ICE crack down.
National Guard troop sent to Los Angeles and to Washington.
Jim Comey indicted with the indictment failing. Trump wanted him arrested for posting seashells on a beach that formed the number 8647
Trump wanting everyone who crossed him arrested such as Comey, Leticia James and Adam Schiff. Trump frustrated and none of them got charged.
$400 million gift airplane for his presidential library
Using his influence as president to make millions of dollars for his family
The FIFA peace prize.
Lowering the flag to half staff when Charlie Kirk was assassinated, but not doing the same when Melissa Hartman was shot down in her home.
Saving the two biggest for last. The Epstein files and the disaster with Iran.
The book is a great book. But it does bring back a lot of bad memories. We have three more years of this crap coming too. We will all need therapy.
One last thing I forgot about. As a Canadian I don’t know how I could’ve done this. The tariffs.
That’s all I have for today.
