Trump‘s vanity project is being mocked for lacklustre attendance. Big name acts have dropped out, because the event had become too politicized. One of the state’s pavilions, that being North Carolina, had to remove a Confederate flag. The event had to be shut down for a few hours on Friday because of the 100° heat..
It will top 100° again today. Trump has promised to deliver a long speech. It will most definitely be timed. Medical crews will be standing by. And the fireworks have been delayed by two hours, because of the heat.
To put it simply the week long event has flopped. This will be a blow to Trump’s ego. Will this humble him in any way? No. He will rationalize it like he rationalizes everything else. But it may put some joy to the hearts of many, who will be celebrating July 4 in other ways.
