This is Jeffrey Rath. He is one of the prominent voices of the Alberta separates movement. He is not a happy camper today. He is focussing his wrath on Danielle Smith.
“It’s time to have a serious discussion as to whether or not a supermajority of the United Conservative Party of Alberta want to continue to be led by a Federalist (in Smith) who’s in bed with Naheed Nensi, Mark Carney, Rachel Notley and the rest of the socialists and globalists that have literally been ruining this province and ruining this country.”
This guy is angry. It is a well-known fact that Danielle Smith’s UCP party is comprised of a number of members who support separation. Rath made this very clear in an interview, yesterday, when he stated that Smith recruited a number of UCP members from the WEXIT ,(western exit) party/movement, from WEXIT membership lists.
Rath is upset that Smith came to power because of her separatist base and she betrayed that base by supporting the stay in Canada side. He wants to call a general meeting of the UCP, next month, to review Smith’s leadership and eventually get her kicked out. He had a prominent role in getting Jason Kenney kicked out as premier and as leader of the UCP.
So the vote is over, but it looks like the soap opera is just beginning. This could become very messy for Danielle and her current party. If Jeffrey Rath is frustrated in his attempt to remove Danielle Smith, as leader of the UCP, he could very well set up his own separatist party, which, in turn, would gut the UCP.
