Vivek ran an ad featuring Acton’s mother, calling her daughter, a liar, and telling Ohioans not to vote for her. It turns out that Amy Acton has not spoken to her mother in 48 years. Amy’s mother had lost custody of 12-year-old Amy and her nine-year-old brother after the man Amy’s mother was married to was accused of raping, Amy. To avoid grand jury indictment, Amy’s mother and her husband fled the state. Amy suffered a history of abuse from her mother and the man her mother was married to.
Democrats and Republicans alike have attacked Vivek for releasing the ad. Vivid has doubled down by allocating $4 million to keep the add running.
Is your stomach turned yet? It gets worse, far worse. JD Vance, the vice president of the United States attacked Republicans for whining about the release of the ad. He said he was disgusted at all the whining by the Republicans. You need to throw up yet?
Donald Trump, the president of the US, of course says he doesn’t know anything about the ad, his favourite go to line. He then says it’s very strange for a mother to hate her daughter like that, but it has nothing to do with Vivek.
This was a hard one to chirp about. The November 3 midterms cannot come soon enough.
