These are just two of the polls, taken a week before the midterms, as to what voters rated as their top issues. The first poll was taken by Gallup the second by Harris.
In both polls, the economy or economy related issues, healthcare and immigration were rated right near the top. The Harris poll differed a bit in that it had corruption right near the top
Once the Democrats gain control of both the house and Senate, in January, they have to remember this. They have to remember what voters want addressed when they come to power.
There is a strong desire to investigate the crap out of Trump, his corruption, the ICE policies and so forth. But if both houses focus solely on that, then 2028 could see another Republican president and Republican control of the house and Senate.
Like it or not, the Democrats have to focus most of their efforts on what the voters voted them in for. It is most likely that Trump will come through on his threats and be the VETO president. But if voters see that the Democrats are honestly trying to address the issues that they are most concerned about and they also see Trump blocking all these efforts this will give Democrats even a strong majority in 2028 and presidency
