He Wants Destruction

Nearly two years after he lost the election, Donald Trump is still bitterly claiming that the election was stolen. His insanity has reached a point that if he is going down, he is going to take the whole country with him. Trump, last week, was interviewed on the Hugh Hewitt radio show. Hewitt is a right wing conservative, but not an extremist. He has appeared, a number of times, on MSNBC. His comments, though pro Republican, are sensible, as opposed to looney tunes.

Rather than paraphrasing what Trump said, I will be quoting his insane statements. When asked if he was indicted would he still run,

“If a thing like that happened, I would have no prohibition against running,”

When asked about the possibility of being indicted, he threatened,

“I think if it happened, I think you’d have problems in this country the likes of which perhaps we’ve never seen before. I don’t think the people of the United States would stand for it.”

When asked what he meant by “problems”, Trump replied,

“I think they’d have big problems. Big problems. I just don’t think they’d stand for it. They will not sit still and stand for this ultimate of hoaxes,”

His statements were made just one month after, Lindsey Graham said that there would be “riots in the streets”, if Trump was indicted. Make no mistake. Trump wants civil unrest. He cannot accept losing. He will keep pushing until by hook or by crook he is President again. And he will demand a rewrite of history to show that he was robbed of victory, in 2020. Remember January 6 when he blew up because he wanted to go to the Capitol and the Secret Service did not allow. What if the Secret Service had let him go to the Capitol? How would that have ended? There is always a hope for a tranquil ending, for sanity. Maybe Trump will listen to his better angel. Thing is, Trump does not have a better angel. He is just a spoiled kid reacting badly for not getting his way. He just needs to be sent to his room (prison), for good.
