Attribution to Art of Charm – Scott Adams
So, I am Twitter yesterday and I see a YouTube retweet of this person above. This guy is going on a rant about Black people, like wow! Who is this person? Then I see that it is Scott Adams, the creator of the Dilbert. I will admit, I did read Dilbert for years. A couple of years ago I stopped, for no real reason. I moved on to more serious comics such as, my favorite, Pearls Before Swine, Luann, Zits and Doonesbury repeats. We all have our choices.
Rather than describe to you what Adams ranted about, I will give you direct quotes.
“I don’t want to have anything to do with them. And I would say, based on the current way things are going, the best advice I would give to White people is to get the hell away from Black people, just get the f**k away … because there is no fixing this.
“I’m going to back off from being helpful to Black America because it doesn’t seem like it pays off, I get called a racist. That’s the only outcome. It makes no sense to help Black Americans if you’re white. It’s over. Don’t even think it’s worth trying.”
Like, blow me freaking away! If me finding this rant repugnant, makes me “Woke”, then I am freaking woke I am substituting freaking for another word but I am sorely tempted to use it it express my shock and pissoffedness (last word did not pass spell check).
The reaction has been immediate. Hundreds of newspapers have dropped Dilbert. I am sure the right wing media will have a field day complaining about another example of wokeness. If I had the tolerance, I would watch Tucker Carlson expand on this tomorrow night. I don’t have the tolerance though. What the hell is wrong with some of these people?
