For the past number of months, right wing media, lead by Fox Entertainment (Fox) has been pushing the story of the Biden’s receiving bribes from the Ukrainian company, Burisma. Lead by Sean Hannity, Fox repeatedly, over and over again, that a credible FBI informant had slam dunk information of the bribes that would surely lead to Joe Biden’s impeachment. This information was 100% foolproof.

Like most of Fox’s news stories, this story crashed this week when the FBI arrested the ‘credible’ informant, Alexander Smirnoff, for lying to the FBI about the bribes. It further came out that Smirnov had received the false information from Putin’s Intelligence Officers.

In ordinary times, Fox would have issued a retraction of the story with repeated mea culpas. Sadly, this is not ordinary times and Fox is really not a news channel.

Instead, Fox is doubling down. Fox personalities are claiming a deeper conspiracy, saying that the Biden administration has weaponized the FBI and DOJ and have retaliated against Smirnov, for revealing the bribes. Tucker Carlson wannabe, Jesse Watters is claiming that Smirnov is ‘just too credible’. Sean Hannity, is attacking Special Counsel, David Weiss, who was appointed by Trump, as being a Democrat hack.

What Fox is just is just plain disgusting. The sad part is that their loyal audience will buy into it, hook, line and sinker.

Fox is the king of misinformation. They have been held to account. in the past, for example with the near $1 billion dollar payout to Dominion Voting Systems. Hopefully, Hunter Biden, does the same here.
