This is Ronna McDaniel. She is the neice if Mitt Romney. She was the RNC chair from 2017 until just recently when she was purged out and replaced by Lara Trump

McDaniel, during her time as RNC chair, was a devoted Trump supporter. She was an election denier and was extremely critical of the media, including MSNBC.

Therefore, there was shockwaves in the media world, last week, when NBC announced that McDaniel would now be part of the left-leaning MSNBC lineup, at a salary of $300,000 per year. The twitterverse went crazy. There was wide spread condemnation of the hiring.

McDaniel’s first appearance, on the NBC network family was on Meet The Press. She was challenged by host Kristen Welker, on a number of issues. While she tried to distance herself, from Trump, she skated around on issues such as her election denials, giving answers that were non-answers.

Following her interview, there was a round table discussion, which included, Chuck Todd, a former Meet The Press host. Todd gave a stinging rebuke on NBC’s hiring of McDaniel,

“There’s a reason why there’s a lot of journalists at NBC News uncomfortable with this, because many of our professional dealings over the past six years have been met with gaslighting, have been met with character assassination.”

This definitely was not match made in Heaven. My own prediction is that McDaniel will not be long for MSNBC.
