Back to the politics tomorrow. Just a little personal story today.
As parents, we were always worried about our kids, For example that when we were visiting other people’s houses, we told the kids that they had to be on their best behavior.
Now that I’ve gotten older, the rules seemed to have reversed. Last year when visiting my one daughter in Kelowna, her and her husband were going to take me to dinner at a ski resort. Wow there was no snow in Kelowna itself. The ski resort was much colder and had tons of snow. My daughter was shocked in seeing how I was dressed inappropriately to go up into the mountains. She literally had to dress me up in her husband‘s clothes so that I wouldn’t freeze to death.
This Christmas, I was visiting my other daughter in Central Alberta. I went to her in-laws for Christmas Day supper. When we were in the car going back from the supper, my daughter looked at me and said ‘you behaved well dad‘.
The roles have reversed.
