Drums Beating

if Justin Trudeau was hoping that the drum beat, for him to step down, would diminish over the holidays, he must surely be disappointed. If anything, it has increased with more calls for him to step down.

Regional caucuses, from various provinces, have sent messages to party leadership calling for Trudeau to step down. So far, Trudeau has stayed silent on his intentions.

Mark Carney, former governor about the bank of Canada, and the bank of England has contacted various liberal officials about a potential leadership run. His strong financial background is a plus that cannot be denied.

liberal leadership has called for a special caucus meeting to be held next Wednesday, January 8. Liberal MP’s have been told that the meeting could go as long as six hours. The goal of the meeting will be to get Trudeau to show his hand whether he is staying or he is stepping down. Given the sentiment of the party, a strong argument will likely be made to him to step down. With Mark Carney entering the discussion promises to be a rowdy meeting

That’s all I have for today.
