There was a song, written by Canadian singer/songwriter R. Dean Taylor, called, Indiana Wants Me. it seems now, with Pierre Poilievre, there is a case of India wants me. Anonymous sources state that Indian agents organized support for PP’s leadership campaign.
That in itself is not a scandal. It is most likely that PP would have won the leadership even without the support. As a matter of fact, CSIS, Canada’ security agency has stated that Russia, China and India will likely meddle in the current federal election.
This information was leaked anonymously because the information was classified. CSIS had provided details, of the involvement of the Indian agents to the Prime Minister, Justin Trudeau, and the leaders of the opposition parties except for 1 leader. That leader being Pierre Poilievre. The reason that. CSIS did not provide this information to Pierre is because Pierre did not go through the process of getting security clearance to receive classified information. That is scandalous.
PP has been blasted on all sides for not getting security clearance. He made a point a few months back of not getting security clearance because he stated that Canada is broken and he did not want to be told information that he could not discuss publicly. That was his story back then. But now it is coming back to bite him.
The news day, yesterday, could have been about Mark Carney refusing to participate in the TVA French debate. instead, the focus of the day was on PP’s lack of security clearance.
Poilievre is being haunted by a number of the steps as this federal election campaign gets underway. His decision not to allow media on his tour bus or campaign plane is also raising questions. Where only two months ago he was looking forward to a majority government, he faces the possibility of the liberals gaining a majority government. It remains to be seen whether Poilievre can reverse the liberal momentum.
That’s all I have for today.
