RFK Junior is the US health secretary. He was testifying in front of Congress yesterday. He was trying to defend the steep reduction in funding proposed for his department.
But the most bizarre part of the day came when Democrat congressman Mark Pocan, of Wisconsin, asked,
“If you had a child today, would you vaccinate that child for measles?”
This is how RFK Junior responded
“For measles? Um, probably for measles. What I would say is my opinions about vaccines are irrelevant … I don’t want to seem like I’m being evasive, but I don’t think people should be taking advice, medical advice, from me.”
I will just leave that there.
