Mark Kelly is a decorated hero. He served in the navy for a number of years before he joined the space program. While in the space program, he went up it to space for a total of four times. He is now the Democrat senator from Arizona. You want your children and grandchildren to grow up to be like him.y

Mark Hegseth, the secretary of defense, has been accused of committing war crimes. Hegseth served in the Minnesota Army National Guard, for a while. He was located in Afghanistan and Iraq for a while. He has faced allegations of sexual misconduct, financial mismanagement, and excessive drinking. He was a Fox News talking head for a number of years. Because he was loyal to Trump he ended up being secretary of defence

On November 18, Kelly, along with a fellow senator and four congressmen, all who served in the military, issued a public service announcement stating that military service members do not have to follow illegal orders.

 “Our laws are clear: You can refuse illegal orders.”

Now look over that quote, carefully. A military service member has the right to refuse an illegal order. Nothing wrong with that is there? Yet, Pete Hegseth, is threatening to recall, Mark Kelly back into the service, for the purpose of having Kelly court martialed.

Meanwhile, Pete Hegseth, as secretary of defence, has the lead role in the sinking of a number of alleged drug boats in the Caribbean. This has been done with no evidence of drug trafficking and without the required consultation with Congress. On September 2, an alleged drug boat was hit by a missile strike, but survivors remained in the water. A second attack was ordered, killing the remaining survivors. This is a contravention of international law. One is prohibited from attacking personnel who are no longer in combat, due to incapacitation. Doing so would be considered a war crime. Trump says he believes that Hegseth did not give the kill order. But Hegseth is the lead role. If he was unaware of a second attack that is pure incompetence and is also hardly believable

So here we are folks. In the era of Trump, we have a decorated hero under threat facing a court martial at the demand of a possible war criminal. Welcome to the land of the upside down.
