It was only a year and a half ago that you threatened us with tariffs and you practically gave the election to Mark Carney. And you are the gift that keeps on giving Donald you really are.

You have threatened us with 50% tariffs on an additional $20 billion in goods coming from Canada. Your deadline date is August 19, which is next Wednesday. You’ve expected us for the last 18 months to just roll over and die yet we still haven’t and we won’t.

Listen to our what our negotiators are saying Donald. If you go ahead with the August 19 tariffs, we will see that as a cliff that just cannot be jumped or crossed, and we will just end the negotiations. Not you Donald but us. We will end the negotiations.
