Trump vs. Pence

Mike Pence might still carry a bit of a grudge against Donald Trump for what happened on January 6, when Trump kind of hung Pence to dry. Hanging being the key word. Pence showed a lot of courage that day. I guess he got tired of being a toady for Trump.

There is a Republican Primary, for Governor, that will be held in Georgia later this month. The two candidates running are the current Governor, Brian Kemp, and former Georgia Senator, David Perdue. Trump has never forgiven Kemp for Kemp’s role in not interfering in the Georgia vote count for president and thus not giving Trump the win. Naturally, Trump is backing Perdue. Trump has a bit of a (ok – a ton of a) vengeful streak in him.

Pence, on the other hand, stated that Kemp is one of the most successful Conservative Governors, in the States. Pense will be in Georgia, to campaign for Kemp, the day before the Primary is held. Pence is just one of a number of prominent Republicans who will campaign for Kemp. Others include Doug Ducey, Governor of Arizona, and Chris Christie, former Governor of New Jersey..

Hopefully, Mike Pence going against Trump is another sign that Trump’s hold on the Republican Party is cracking.
