Nikki Haley was interviewed by Brian Kilmeade on Fox entertainment yesterday. She was asked if the GOP is a racist party. She said that America is not a racist country

“We’re not a racist country, Brian. We’ve never been a racist country,”

She based this answer on her experience of being a brown girl minority in a small town in South Carolina and rising up to be Governor of the state.

On another news network she was criticized for saying what the audience wanted to hear. In this case it was Fox’s predominant white viewer audience.

That is nit the irony though. Haley was born with the name Nimarata Nikki Randhawa. She married Michael Haley and took on his name. She chose to go with Nikki and there is nothing wrong with that. Many people have anglicized their names. However, Donald Trump, the flag bearer of the GOP used another racist dog whistle to attack her in a post last night.

“Anyone listening to Nikki ‘Nimrada’ Haley’s wacked out speech last night, would think that she won the Iowa Primary. She didn’t, and she couldn’t even beat a very flawed Ron DeSanctimonious, who’s out of money, and out of hope,”

So why did Trump feel the need to use her first name in his post. Trump’s base and basically the GOP base is primarily white. In the past many conservative commentators, especially on Fox, when referring to Barack Obama when take pains to include his middle name, Hussein. Now why would they do that? I will just leave that there for you.
