Yesterday was full of irony.
Strongman dictator Putin won a sham election earlier this week, promising to keep Russia secure. A couple of days later, a terrorist attack at a Moscow concert venue leaves 115, and counting, dead. Putin already has blamed Ukraine, even though ISIS has claimed responsibility.
Donald Trump, the self proclaimed Billionaire, who promised his supporters that he will so often, that they will get tired of it, is scrambling to raise money to post a bond against the fraud trial that he lost. He is just a bit upset.
Meanwhile, Marjorie Taylor Greene, never to be confused with Taylor Swift, filed a resolution to boot Mike Johnson out as Speaker. Marge says that she does not want to put the House into chaos. Marge, the House was shut down for 22 days before Mike Johnson was elected as Speaker. Before him, Kevin McCarthy needed 15 votes to become Speaker. You go girl.
But the biggest irony of all is George Santos declaring that he will no longer run as a Republican, but will run as an Independent, instead.
“The Republican Party continues to lie and swindle its voter base. I in good conscience cannot affiliate myself with a party that stands for nothing and falls for everything.”
Priceless.
