Beryl

This is hurricane Beryl. She is currently a category for hurricane and is slamming into the Windward Islands in the eastern Caribbean. Hurricanes happen in the Caribbean a lot. What makes Beryl unique is that she is doing her business on July 1. She is also long way from being done. Hurricanes of this strength do not occur until August. Our planet just went through a strong El Niño period which superheated are oceans. You remember our Nino from last year when it seemed all of Canada was on fire and under a months long heat wave. La Niña has taken over moderating our temperatures up north but our oceans are still superheated from last year. This is going to be a very active hurricane season. This is just a sign of things to come folks. I don’t know what it’s going to take for climate change deniers to accept the fact that climate changes real. Maybe the damage and destruction that will happen this year in the US south and East Coast might make a few more converts. enjoy Canada Day.
