Following the attempted assassination of Donald Trump on Saturday, Republicans are blaming the attempt on Democrat rhetoric against Trump and are also calling for empathy. One Republican Senator is calling for Biden to be jailed. This is kind of hypocritical given the Republican’s and Trump‘s record in the past.

Trump himself made mocking remarks about the incident. if you go on Twitter, you might find a video of a woman detailing other examples of Trump’s lack of empathy and Trump‘s rising the temperature of violence over the past few years. Example she gave included Trump reposting an image of Biden, tied, bound and gagged. There were the assassination threats against Gretchen Whitmer, governor of Michigan, as well as he attempted kidnapping where was planned to executor on live TV?. let us not forget all the threats made against election workers throughout the country. There was Donald Trump’s desire to shoot BLM protesters in the legs. His cabinet convinced him not to go through with that. There was his 2016 chant of locker up against Hillary. of course there was MTG calling for the execution of Barack Obama and Nancy Pelosi for treason. there was good people on both sides in Charlottesville. Do you remember that one? and of course it was January 6 where Trump sat in the White House for 187 minutes and did nothing.

This will be an interesting week with Republican convention going on. The convention will wrap up with Trump giving a speech on Thursday. Let’s see what Trump does.
