It’s my blog and I can do what I want to, do what I want to, do what I want to…. No, that’s not how the song goes. Whatever.

This is a politics and sports blog after all. The politics has been pretty depressing lately. I still have not watched any cable news since election night and I don’t intend to until at least after inauguration day.

My Sundays have been doing pretty darn good lately. The Detroit Lions won again, making them nine and one for the season and 29 and eight over the last 37 games spanning 2 1/2 years. They are not just winning games. They are demolishing the opposition. They scored 52 points for the second time this season. their point differential is over two touchdowns per game. They scored touchdowns on their first seven drives yesterday. Right now Vegas has them as Super Bowl favourites for this year. Me and other Lions fans are basking in the glow after going through years of darkness. The Lions made the Edmonton Oilers decade of darkness seem like a tea party. That does not really make sense, but I’m going with it.
