When the orange haired guy was president, it seemed that every morning when I got up and went on the net or turned on the TV I had either an OMG or a WTF moment. Well, it is happening again.

Came back from the pub yesterday went on the net and found out that Trump is nominating Kash Patel to be the next FBI director. I knew I didn’t have that much of the pub so this had to be true and it is.

Chris Wray, the current FBI director has three years left of his 10 year term. This will be the second time that Trump has fired an FBI director before his term is complete. Remember Jim Comey?

Kash Patel is an extreme right wing Trump royalist. During the unclassified documents investigation, Patel stated that Trump had declassified a number of documents. When he went before a federal investigation, he pleaded the fifth amendment on the ground at he did not want to incriminate himself. remember when Trump said that anyone who took the fifth amendment must be a criminal? Right. As I chirp this, I have the Godfather theme song running through my head. I wonder why that is.

former national security advisor, John Bolton, put it this way,

“Trump has nominated Kash Patel to be his Lavrenty Beria. Fortunately, the FBI is not the NKVD. The Senate should reject this nomination 100-0.”

Beria was Joseph Stalin‘s chief of secret police in communist Russia. Patel‘s nomination will have to go through the Senate confirmation process. That is going to be a lot of fun.
