It turns out that the suspect, I will not give the dignity of matching his name, was born in Texas. The suspect had released videos saying that he was gonna kill his family and saying that he was inspired by ISIS. He did have an ISIS flag with him and explosives in the vehicle.

The suspect was an army veteran, having served in the army for over a decade. The suspect had a university degree. He was also divorced twice with the second wife, filing a restraining order against him

This seems to be a combination of mental health issues and homegrown terrorism. A chicken and egg thing. Would he have done this if he was more stable.

What are the things that Donald Trump will have to focus on when he becomes President it’s not only offshore terrorism, but domestic terrorism. Another thing that needs to be focussed is mental health. Lip service can no longer be given to this issue.

My fear is that this is only the beginning of a very chaotic year. My second fear is that the adults are no longer running the show.
