Coming back from the gym yesterday, I turned on my phone and I saw that Trump had tripled down on his design to make Canada the 51st state. I still refuse to watch US cable news. But I did watch Canadian cable news for the next long while, as my blood boiled. I know I was not alone. I know I am not alone.

Canada has flaws. No country doesn’t. But to think that we would ever, ever, ever, want to become part of the United States is just pure insanity. If Trump wants to beat us to submission by imposing this crazy 25% tariff, we will retaliate. That includes you, Daniel Smith, premier of my province. Never cross an angry beaver.

What Donald Trump has done has given a gift to the Liberal party of Canada. We all know Pierre.Poilievre’s sympathies. He would collapse faster than a snowman in a hot summer day

But this is beyond politics. Way beyond politics. We will fight the lunacy and it will be Trump in the end that will have to submit.

Trump says that Wayne Gretzky should run for Prime Minister. That he would win easily. Don’t even go there Wayne. Danielle Smith has gotten tickets to go to Trump’s inauguration. Danielle, if you do go, Canadians will consider it treason go at your own risk of your political career.
