Back in World War Two, the evil dictators, Hitler and Stalin signed a non-aggression pact. Eventually, Germany did attack Russia, after both countries had savaged Poland. The US became allies of Russia to fight the Nazi scourge. At Yalta, Roosevelt together with Churchill sold out a number of Eastern European countries to Russia. This included Poland. Russia and the US became Cold War enemies.

Putin is now in power in Russia. A former KGB officer, Putin wants to bring Russia back to the way it was when it was the Soviet Union and ruled the iron curtain countries. He took over Georgia and then Crimea and now it wants Ukraine.

Donald Trump, emulating Hitler, has taken an authoritarian approach in reshaping the United States. Just like Hitler did in the 1930s taking over other countries such as Austria Trump is doing the same thing threatening to take over Panama, Greenland and my home country Canada.

Back in World War II, as I mentioned, Russia in the US became allies to fight the Nazis. This time around the US under Trump have become the Nazis. It appears as if the common enemy of both Trump and Putin are NATO. Try not to laugh. This is actually happening.

For three years, with western support, Ukraine has put up the good fight. Joe Biden cobbled together a western alliance that presented a united front against the Russian invasion. Donald Trump is in the process of destroying that alliance. Donald Trump had a call with Putin yesterday and stated that he will now end the war between Russia and Ukraine. What he really means is that he is going to get Ukraine to surrender to the terms that Russia is demanding. Three years of Ukrainian blood and resources spent for nothing. My heart aches.
