We have reached a point where conservatives and liberals cannot agree on a single thing. For example, liberals in the states, and in Canada, I might add, believe that Donald Trump cannot do anything right. Conservatives, in Canada, will tell you that Mark Carney cannot do anything right.

We all saw the meeting between Trump and Mark Carney. The next day, on Facebook, conservatives were crowing about how inept Mark Carney looked, and how he was squirming the whole time. Canada you made a mistake in voting him in.

Meanwhile, liberals, and others, such as the premiers, of the provinces and territories, in Canada, were saying that Mark Carney did a masterful job. That his restraint was admirable. His facial expressions said a lot, and he got his zingers in. He stated that Canada would never ever be a 51st state. He also contradicted Trump when Trump said that Canada traded very little with the states and vice versa. Mark Carney correctly pointed out that Canada was America’s biggest trading partner.

It depends on one’s point of view I guess.
