So, Donald Trump wants to invade Greenland, eh. He might end up realizing that the US might be biting off a lot more than they could chew by trying.

Greenland is a territory of Denmark. Denmark is currently playing in the world hockey championships. Denmark is nowhere close to being a hockey power. This is an event, played annually, that is followed by Canadians, whose teams are not in the Stanley Cup playoffs or got knocked out in the first round. Because it is usually in Europe, the games are usually played in the morning or afternoon, Canada time

Canada does have a team in this event. Canada has won this event 28 times. Denmark has never won this event. . Canada has a bunch of superstar players on this team, including Sidney Crosby and Nathan McKinnon.

Canada finished first in their division in the round robin portion of this event. Denmark squeaked in fourth, in their division. Canada faced Denmark in the quarterfinals yesterday afternoon. Should be an easy win for Canada. I was on the deck outside reading with the TV volume on because Canada should win big time against the Danes. Actually, I’d go inside and switch channels between this game and the Blue Jays game. The Blue Jays won, sweeping the Padres. So I went back inside and switched the game to the Canada Denmark game. It had been scoreledxafter two periods with Canada out shooting Denmark big time.

I go back inside switch the channel and it is one to nothing for Canada with a couple minutes left in the third period. I might as well watch the finish. Denmark scores two goals in the last two minutes to knock Canada out of the tournament. To say that the hockey world is stunned by this result would be an extreme understatement. It would be like the Maple leafs winning the Stanley Cup after 58 years. It would be more stunning than that, eh.

So Donald Trump if you think it would be a piece of cake to take over Greenland, bear in mind what happened yesterday, eh.
